Actually with how simlpe vanilla was compared to ck2 it made me go back to ck2. Untill Couter espionage everything was X untill done in EU4. Im 34 bro, and compared to getting is an arcade game. it is laughable when most the kiddos around here useing that term in regards to this game are not even old enough to know what a real true arcade game was and is,its more a coined catch all phrase,go back 35 years or so and tell me what a arcade game is then compare it to this so called arcade game. You get all the options on of CK2 but it feels less personal because everything is at country/empire level.
It's easier more stramlined and all around better!!! It really is. EU4 is more the arcade game, its WAY more fast paced. It has some conquest but its secondary to the balance of your empire which is as much court life as infrastructre/conquest taking over your neighbors means nothing, if you let one of your vassal assinate you, and this leaves your 2 year on the throne to inherit and now the vassal is trying to take your titles through open warefare!!! Now your other vassals have to figure out who wants to die for a 2 year old?. After about 2 playthroughs a steam sale should have the DLCS for sale, and you'll be ready for the mechanics inside the mechanics and at half the cost, and trust me you will get the DLCS and at full price the moment you understand vanilla.Įssentially CK2 is DARK AGE FAMILY/DYNASTY court inrigue game (RPG/CHOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE), your characters even the the secondary ones who are in your court have traits and marraiages and their own ambtion.
